背景資料：
2002年3月14日，4名來自瑞士的法輪功學員與12名香港本地學員在中聯辦正門外進行和平靜坐及絕食請願，抗議國家主席江澤民下達殺害法輪功學員的命令。請願開始不久，在中聯辦施壓之下，警方趕到現場，試圖讓學員停止在中聯辦正門外的請願活動。在靜坐進行了僅僅幾個小時之後，香港警方用武力將16名學員抬走、拘捕。警方隨後控告學員阻街、阻差辦公與襲警。在案件審理過程中，辯方律師指出香港警方的“過度反應”與“不專業的行為。”

Falun Gong Practitioners Would Like to Meet With the Media

On the day in which final submissions shall be read, a day that might be the last one of the trial, Falun Gong practitioners would like to meet with the media.

Background:
On March 14, 2002, four Falun Gong practitioners from Switzerland and 12 from Hong Kong held a peaceful sit-in appeal and hunger strike in front of the Chinese Liaison Office in Hong Kong in order to express disapproval of Chinese President Jiang Zemin’s orders to shoot Falun Gong practitioners. Shortly after the petition started, at the request of the P.R.C’s Liaison Office, Hong Kong policemen arrived at the site of the appeal and demanded that the practitioners move their petition to a different location. Only a few hours into the appeal, the police proceeded to violently take the 16 practitioners into custody. In a trial in which the police chose to charge the practitioners for allegedly obstructing the sidewalk, the defense counsel has cited “over policing” and “unprofessional behavior” by the Hong Kong police.(http://www.dajiyuan.com)
