吊桥应该是所有桥梁之中最富诗意的，它除了轻便、廉价之外，也因为搭建快速而可省却许多人力、物力，而且对大自然破坏也最小，和大自然最容易相融相处。比诸柏油路、水泥桥，山水画里配上吊桥，就不显得那么刚硬难融了。

本图，左边安排一座城市（有高楼大厦），左右两岸靠一座吊桥来交通。桥下溪水潺潺，远处再安排一道流瀑，奔泻而来，是繁忙的都市郊外最幽静的所在。

这画的墨彩、色彩我们都做多层次的渲染，因此看起来厚重而不单薄。

Suspension bridges have the most poetic beauty of all bridges. Apart from being light and inexpensive, suspension bridges are easy to construct and don't require a lot of manpower or resources. They also do the least damage to nature, and blend in best with the natural environment. Compared with asphalt roads and cement bridges, suspension bridges go best in landscape paintings because they are not so hard and harsh.

The left side of this painting consists of a cityscape (with skyscrapers and high-rise buildings), and transportation to the right and left banks is provided by a suspension bridge. The river below the bridge flows steadily by, and there is a rushing waterfall in the distance. It is a magnificently serene spot in the suburbs of the city.

The colors are applied lightly in the layers in this painting, which lends it the appearance of substance, so that it doesn't look insubstantial.＠
