这幅画有大半的墨点是我用塑胶袋沾墨贴印上去的，底下的竹林也是用半湿的卫生纸拍打出来。颇能表达出台湾桂竹林如毛毡似的细碎枝叶的林相。

溪边竹林下，我们安排了十多只白鹭鸶，有些在憩息，有些正展翅飞翔，充满无限的生机野趣。

天空我们把它染成黛青色，显示远处有雷雨，正所谓“山雨欲来”。但中层我们又看到几片笃定闲适的云。雨要到这里，恐怕还有一段时程，我们得赶紧下山。

I made most of the ink spots in this painting by pressing a plastic bag full of ink against the paper. The bamboo grove in the lower part of the painting was made by patting the paper with a half-wet piece of tissue. I feel it expresses the way the finely divided leaves and branches in a grove of Makino bamboo look like a carpet.

I painted a flock of white egrets under the bamboo by the edge of the stream. Some are resting, and some are spreading their wings to fly. They are full of life and animation.

I colored the sky greenish-black to express a distant thunderstorm. It is right before the arrival of a mountain rain. But we can also see some confidently relaxed clouds in the middle distance. The rain may not come for a little while, so there is time to hurry home from the mountain.＠
