有個畫家，正在為齊王作畫。

齊王問他說：「請你告訴我，你認為甚麼最難畫？」
畫家回答說：「狗和馬。」

齊王又問道：「你認為甚麼最易畫呢？」

畫家回答說：「鬼最易畫。我們大家都知道狗、馬是怎樣的，故此要畫得像，實在不容易。但我們沒有人見過鬼，所以隨我們怎樣畫都可以了。」

Ghosts Are Easiest To Draw

An artist was drawing a picture for the King of Qi.

"Tell me," said the King, "what are the objects you find most difficult to draw?"
"Dogs and horses," replied the artist.

"What are the objects you find easiest to draw then?" continued the King.

"Well," said the artist, "ghosts are easiest to draw. Because we all know how dogs and horses look, it's not easy to draw them well. But none of us has seen ghosts before, so we can draw them any way we like."
