媽媽常講瀑布的故事給我聽
她總說瀑布是仙人們在曝露珠寶

「是呀！」我總回說：
「我看見珠寶發出金光了
我聽到珠寶相碰撞的清脆聲了；
但那麼遠，我怎麼拿得到呢？」

「是太遠了，拿不到」她總問說：
「如果拿到了，你要送給誰呢？」

「我要送給媽媽。」
我總是歪一下頭，這麼回答
她便滿意地笑了

就是為了看見她這滿意的笑
我總常要求她講瀑布的故事給我聽
而且總是百聽不厭

Stories about waterfall

My mother often tells me some stories about waterfall
She says waterfall is the fairy maidens’ jewelry being aired under the sun

“Yes,” I always so answer,
“I see that they are shining
And I can hear the sound when they collide each other.
Yet, they are too far from me, how can I get them?”

“Yes, It’s too far, and you are unable to get them.” My mother says,
“If you get them, to whom will you give them?”

“Of course I will give them to you, my mother.”
I always so answer.
This moment, my mother will smile satisfied.

Just for seeing my mother’s satisfied smile
I often ask her to tell me
