海浪在輕輕地吟唱著一首詩。

一波接著一波，海浪在湧起，向海灘湧進，激起了許多白色泡沫，它們的吟唱便傳來了。

喃喃著。

有時，它們狂怒了，尤其颱風來時。那是一種多麼驚人的姿態呀！那是一種多麼驚人的吼叫呀！像虎獅，像狼豹，兇猛無比，吼叫震天，真叫人不敢去看，不敢去聽。我就曾見過三層樓高的海浪，也聽過它們的吼叫，確然大吃一驚！那是在東港汕尾海邊。

而現在，它們是溫和的。它們似在輕舞，似在散步，同時悠閒輕緩地吟唱著。

我在海灘上諦聽它們的吟唱。

是一首小詩。

The Singing of the Sea

The spray is singing a poem.

A wave after a wave, the spray is singing, arouses a great number of white foam, their singing are transmitting.

They are murmuring.

Some times, they are wild anger, especially when the typhoon is come. What an astonished posture it is! What an astonished howl it is! Likes the tiger or lion, likes the wolf or leopard, ferocious bears not comparison with, scream to be vibrated of the world, truly let us dare not to see, dare not to hear. I had even saw the spray aroused onto third floor of tall, and heard their howling as well, I got a great astonishment exactly! It’s in the beach of Sanwei Donggang.

And mow, they are moderate. They are dance lightly, likes take a stroll, meantime it sings slimly and gracefully with leisure.

I listen their singing on the beach.
