春天的山野──群山像綠色的布幔，把遊人包裹起來。如你去苗栗鳴鳳古道走一遭，便會有這種感受。
這幅畫我們雖然畫得滿，但並不使人覺得「塞」。為什麼？因為畫中間有耀眼的黃綠色，突出而醒目，使前後山的間距拉大的緣故。
「綠」很難表現，跟墨色配起來太跳，不很搭調，也容易髒。但不管如何，我們總得嘗試把它畫好，處理好。先讓自己滿意了，別人才會滿意。不是嗎？
