樹木的枝葉間是個廣闊無邊的世界
綠繡眼總在那裡拉著小提琴
琴音隨著牠的身影
從這枝飛躍到那枝，又飛躍到另一枝
和小貓發出的喵聲一樣細嫩綿長
以琴弦的絲線去繡出各種各樣的形象
而茅草地和蔗園更是一個廣闊無邊的世界
裁縫鳥更在那裡忙著裁剪縫製
從這枝裁剪縫製到那枝，又裁剪縫製到另一枝
噗噗地裁剪縫製著，一記又一記
如小鼓手敲出的輕巧美妙的鼓樂
有節奏地裁製出另一個和平景觀
兩種同樣小巧的樂器彼此搭配
此拉彼敲，或同拉同敲
此起彼伏，或同起同伏
合奏出一曲奇特的小小樂曲
以其聲音的光芒把田野彩飾得金碧輝煌
在那廣闊的田野，在那遠遠的我的童年
令我靜靜諦聽，全身心都沉醉……

The branch of the tree is a wide world boundlessly
The Japanese White-eye always plays the violin there
The sound follows her image
Leaps from this branch to that branch, and leaps to another branch again
Tender and long like the mew the sound of a cat
To embroider every kind of image with the string
The thatched grass earth and the sugar garden more are the wide world boundlessly
The sew-bird even busier in sewing there
Sews from this branch to that branch, and sews to another branch again
Sews creakily, one after another
Beats the light and handy drum music like the little drummer plays
Sews an another peace landscape rhythmically
Come together with these two same instruments
One plays and beats another, or plays and beats together
One raises and falls another, or raises and falls together
Plays together a little special music
The rays of light painting the field into splendid
On the wide field, on my remote childhood
Let me intoxicate whole the body and mind while listen to it silently…@
