傍晚，夕陽西下，遠山已變成黛青色，近處也轉為黑綠，天空卻仍是紅橙一片。細碎的夕陽倒影在溪潭中輕泛，蕩漾出些許的詩意來。

這張畫使用的是粗筋京和紙，紙背有較不舒坦的木質纖維，因此能夠做出一些粗糙而天然的肌理，只是上色稍困難些。對於水墨畫的上色，我們都加以層層渲染，使畫面看起來厚重，墨色及彩色豐盈而值得玩味。

It is evening, the sun is setting, and the distant mountains have turned blackish green. The foreground is also turning dark green, but the sky is a mass of red and orange. Fragments of the sunset are reflected in the stream and lake, like ripples of poetry.

This painting was made on Japanese paper with coarse veins. The back of the paper is covered with some rough wood fibers, which gives the paper a coarse, natural grain. It is a bit difficult to apply colors to this paper, however. We apply thin washes of color in ink and wash painting, which adds depth to a painting. I think that the fullness of the black and colors here is worth appreciating.＠
