当年爬这座山是件轻松事
总是当成一种游戏，健步如飞
犹如为长者折枝
不稍费力气便爬到山顶

那是年轻力壮的时候
后来渐渐觉得需费力气了
甚至爬得汗流浃背，气喘如牛
便越来越发懒得爬了

这次前来，却倍感辛苦
硬撑到全身疲乏无力
只得稍事停步休息，以恢复体力
不意这时一片枯叶突然飘落跟前
抬眼一望
惊见满山林木披着枯叶和萧瑟
方觉秋天已过，冬天正来
夕阳渐落，光线渐见暗弱……

一阵风吹过，吹来一股寒意
将我从沉思中吹醒：
唉，尽力向上向前爬吧！
前面还有好一段路呢！

When I was young
Climbing mountain was as easy as a game
With vigorous strides
Reaching the top without striking a blowing

With age, I felt it was not so easy mounting
Even felt dog-tired, out of breath
Bathed with sweat
And I gradually do not like mounting

This time I feel especially tired than any time
I have to stop to have a rest
So as to cover my full strength
Unexpectedly, a withered leaf floating over before me
I raise my head to look over and find
The mountain is cover with withered trees and falling leaves
O, the autumn has past and winter is coming
The sun is setting, it gets dimmer and dimmer

A gust of cold breeze is passing by
I wake up from deep meditation:
Well, there is quite a long distance to the top
Climb up!
