不再有以往只看画面
那种豆般渺小的视野

我登上了长城，让心灵
搜寻在百折千回的传说里
再怎么尽心搜寻都窎窎远远
难以亲眼目睹它们
那栩栩如生的感人情节

我登上了长城，让身子
前移在两墙之间的阶梯上
再怎么继续前移都仿佛无止无尽
难以穷尽它们
那万里长远跋涉……

I’m on the great wall now
My feet are stepping on the real ladders
I feel rather relieved even though stepping furiously
And the dreamlike sense of watching it in pictures
Has disappeared

I’m now on the Great Wall
I’m sweeping my eyes over the boundless mountains
The mountains are so large and high
Not so tiny as
What I have seen in pictures

I’m now on the Great Wall
My soul is seeking in lots and lots of legendary stories
These stories are very moving
But their plots aren’t so lifelike
As what I have seen with my own eyes

I’m now on the Great Wall

I come to know its long trek from
