古人说：“画有常理无常法”，意思是说画画没有一定的方法，不要有规范，想怎么画就怎么画，工细整齐或逸笔草草；大红大绿或渗淡灰暗都不计较，任君挥洒。唯一不变的就是不能有违常理。

譬如说有人画茄子，把它吊挂在宛如丝瓜藤蔓的末端，这是不对的。又如有人画螃蟹，在螃蟹身上画上鱼鳞，那更是贻笑大方了，显示他观察写生的能力不足。

The ancients said: "The painting has conventions but no permanent rules," means that no certain method to paint, no need regulation and specification, paint whatever you want to paint, fine and neat drawing or randomly scribble; it does not matter if it is bright red and green or gloomy gray, do whatever you want to do. The only constant is that you can’t go against conventions.

For example, someone paint eggplant but hangs it at the end of the loofah, so this is wrong. If someone draw a crab with scales on, it is even more ridiculous, showing his incapable of sketch observation.#
